From Stroke to Strength
After a gym session at 44, I suffered a stroke.
Like many people, I was left asking:
What’s safe?
How hard can I push?
Will I ever feel like myself again?
At 46, after a PFO closure, I developed permanent AFib — adding another layer of uncertainty around exercise and health.
I had to completely relearn how to train, how to manage my body, and how to rebuild confidence safely.
Over time, I stopped trying to go back to how things were before… and started learning how to move forward differently.
Now, I feel fitter and stronger than ever — but more importantly, I understand my limits and how to work with my body, not against it.
That’s what I now help others do.
